- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix pumpkin puree, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into rectangles (about 3×5 inches).
- Place a spoonful of the pumpkin filling in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over to create a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Twist the sealed edges to create a spiral. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush tops with a beaten egg. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with coffee or tea. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
