Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until soft.
- Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook until browned.
- Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes, then layer the remaining potatoes on top.
- Pour the beef broth evenly over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and golden.
Notes
Use a mandoline slicer for even potato slices. Let the dish sit for 5 minutes before serving.
