Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for a vegetarian option)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until golden.
  3. In a large bowl, mix hash browns, soup, sour cream, beef broth, garlic powder, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in sautéed onions.
