Description
A flavorful flank steak marinated in a rich balsamic vinegar mixture, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 flank steak (1.5–2 lbs)
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill or broiler to high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess drip off.
- Grill or broil for about 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, longer for desired doneness.
- Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice against the grain and serve.
Notes
Let the meat come to room temperature before cooking. Always slice against the grain for tenderness. Marinating overnight enhances flavor.
